The Patriot - John Williams

Early Americans, patriots, shaped the future of our country through their beliefs, their ideas, and their actions. “It is important to remember that several people contributed to the events surrounding the American Revolution. Many think that there were a minimum of 100 people who if they had not been born, we may still be subjects of the British Crown.” (the americanrevolution.org, 11-27-07) Some of the patriots, like Paul Revere, are well-known. Others are not, but all are still important contributors to the birth of our nation. Their fore-thinking, courage, and sacrifices should not be forgotten.

Which patriot do you think is worthy of our remembrance? What beliefs, ideas, or actions of this patriot not only effected the Revolutionary War time period, but shaped our country still today?

Your task is to choose a patriot from the list of names  and use the Big6 research model to find the answers to these questions. You will then follow your teacher's requirements in writing a research paper, give an oral account, and provide a visual about that patriot.
